About Aung Thu Ya
I am Aung Thu Ya .I was born in Burma ( Myanmar ) .My family are Karen the tribal people .Ever since I was a child I wanted to create , surrounded as I was by native patterns , colours , it fascinated and inspired me .
i arrived in Australia in 2002 .Studied fashion diploma at St George TAFE .After working with Mr Akira Isogawa and Longina Phillips designs the label AUNG is born in 2008 .
Every collection I create has invisible my childhood dream with modern twist .
